Thought is an idea or a set of ideas about a particular subject matter about anything. An opinion expresses a belief about something that has conviction but is not supported by knowledge or positive evidence. “Thoughts" are very general. We usually say "idea" to express a new thought that you haven't had before ideas are often creative thoughts. "Opinions" express a viewpoint or belief.

D. LATIHAN SOAL

Task 1. Look at the jumbed sentence below! Arrange them into good dialogue!

B :Yeah. Once, one of my good friends lied to me. He was a really good friend, and I just felt completely betrayed. It destroyed the friendship.

B : In my opinion friends need to be completely honest. One little lie and the friendship just disappears.

A : Some people say friends are always honest with each other. What do you think?

A : Ah, that's pretty strong language. Do you really think that?

Task 2. Read the following Context! Then, brainstorm the ideas and give your opinion based on that context.

Benny has sent a letter to Rudy asking for his opinion about his problem in managing his fund. Benny has not had much enough. He is confused to decide whether to buy a bicycle to take him to school or to run a small farm in sheep animal husbandry.

Idea :

1. Manage your fund.
2. Buy a bicycle.
3. Run a small farm.

As Rudy, write a letter to Benny giving response and opinion about his problem.

Dear Benny

    Benn, i have read your letter. In my opinion you have to manage your fund like make a journal to separate your money for keep or for buy something. Example, your Father give you Rp.20.000 for your school and your mother bring you supplies. So, you have to keep your money Rp.10.000.  And you can buy something with another Rp.10.000. I hope after this you can manage your money better.

    In my opinion, buy bicycle and run a small farm i will choose run a small farm. Why like that? Because you will get a profit from it and you can buy anything and of course a bicycle that you want with your profit . I think just that who can i said, i hope it's can help you.
